Jeff Smith is Vice President and Head of Development at Stotan Industrial, where he leads all aspects of the firm’s development platform — from site selection and entitlement through design, construction, and delivery.

Prior to assuming his Role at Stotan Industrial, Jeff was a Vice President & Co-Head of Development for IDI Logistics/IDI, a National Developer of Industrial real estate. In his role for 30 + years, he developed over 25 million SF of Industrial buildings and over 1500 acres of land. In addition to his role in managing real estate developments in multiple states, Jeff was responsible for leading a team of Development Managers and standardizing the design specifications across all markets and peers.

Jeff is a professional Engineer. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering and Management from Purdue University.

As Chief Operating Officer of Stotan Industrial, Bob drives the firm’s operational strategy, overseeing capital markets and investment initiatives nationwide.

Before assuming a leadership role at Staton Bob was a Managing Director at Kuvare Asset Management (KAM) until KAM was acquired by Blue Owl.  KAM is a boutique asset manager with over $20BN in AUM serving Kuvare’s life & reinsurance operating companies.  Bob managed KAM’s $2BNCMBS portfolio, fund investments and construction loan participations.  

Prior to joining KAM in 2021, Bob was directly involved in the IPO of CreXus, a publicly traded commercial mortgage REIT that listed on the NYSE in 2009 and where he served as head of investments.   CreXus was acquired by Annaly Capital Management where he continued to serve as a Managing Director overseeing originations, credit and capital markets at different times before joining KAM.  

Previously Bob spent over 10 years at Morgan Stanley as Executive Director and co-head of the CMBS and CRE CLO syndication desk. Bob began his career originating commercial mortgages at the Principal Financial Group, worked for GE Capital in asset management, and managed a CMBS portfolio at Allstate Investments.  

Bob has a BBA in Finance and an MS in Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin, currently serves on the Board of the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin and served as an active member of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC), where he was a board member and inaugural chair of the Portfolio Lender’s Forum.  

Jack joined Stotan Industrial in August 2025 after interning with the firm the previous summer. He is responsible for underwriting investment and development opportunities, managing project due diligence, conducting market research, and assisting in leasing and disposition efforts for Stotan Industrial.

Prior to joining Stotan Industrial full-time, Jack earned his bachelor's degree in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, graduating in May 2025.

Kat joined Stotan in July 2024 as an Executive Assistant and Office Manager She supports the company’s leadership team by managing real estate documentation, coordinating travel plans, and assisting with various property management and human resources tasks.

Kat also organizes company events and oversees the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Her role involves maintaining an organized and functional workspace while addressing any logistical needs to support the team. Kat holds Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human Resources from the University of Iowa.

William McPhee joined Stotan Industrial in June of 2024 and currently holds a position of Vice President - Market Officer of California. He is responsible for sourcing new development and acquisition opportunities throughout California as well as other key growth markets in the Western US, including Las Vegas, Reno, Phoenix & Salt Lake City.

Prior to joining Stotan, Will spent 8 years with Overton Moore Properties where he closed nearly $1.5B in new development and investments throughout California, Nevada & Utah.

Will holds a bachelor's degree in Finance with a focus on Real Estate from Texas Christian University.

Conor joined Stotan Industrial in February 2024. He is responsible for underwriting investment and development opportunities, managing project due diligence, market research and assisting in leasing and disposition of assets for Stotan Industrial.

Prior to joining Stotan Industrial, Conor spent two years at JLL as a Valuation Advisory Analyst in the Industrial Group. Conor focused on property and fund valuation for various industrial assets and institutional owners across the United States.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in Finance and a minor in Real Estate from The Ohio State University, he graduated in May 2022.

Linda joined Stotan Industrial in January of 2024. As Stotan’s Chief Administrative Officer she is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial, administrative, accounting, and human resource functions as well as assisting the leadership team with strategic planning and business development initiatives. Prior to joining Stotan, she was an independent project consultant for the real estate group of Boston-based Bain Capital managing portfolio dispositions of all commercial asset types across the US.  Prior to that she was the Chief Administrative Officer & Director of HR at Blue Vista Capital Management, a real estate private equity firm based in Chicago.

She holds an MBA in finance and marketing from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame.

Ben joined Stotan in December 2023. He is responsible for securing new development sites in 3 primary markets in the Carolinas, including Charlotte, Charleston & Greenville / Spartanburg.

Prior to his role at Stotan, Ben served as Vice President of Development for Ridgeline Property Group. Preceding his time at Ridgeline, Ben served as Development Manager for Conor Commercial of the McShane Companies and also spent time in the Corporate Services Group within CBRE and in the commercial banking business.

Ben holds a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and earned his bachelor's degree at the University of California, Irvine.

Blake is responsible for underwriting investment and development opportunities, managing project due diligence, and assisting in leasing and disposition of assets for Stotan Industrial.

Prior to joining Stotan Industrial, Blake was the Investment Sales Analyst for Colliers International. Blake focused on underwriting, research, and marketing of all listings in the Chicagoland and Midwest markets.

Before joining Colliers, Blake spent two years at Shive-Hattery as an Electrical Engineer Designer. He was responsible for creating engineering drawings for retail, industrial, and office spaces for corporate clients.

Blake also spent a year as a Supply Chain Associate at PepsiCo’s 2 million SF Quaker Oats manufacturing facility. He managed a diverse team of operators and electricians while deploying technical procedures to increase efficiency throughout the plant. Blake is a member of NAIOP Developing Leaders.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics from the University of Iowa.

Jack Sweany joined Stotan Industrial in May of 2022. He is responsible for managing implementation from zoning and entitlement through occupancy of new development opportunities for Stotan Industrial.

Prior to joining Stotan, he was a Project Manager at McShane Construction in Rosemont, IL. He managed design/build and general construction of build-to-suit and speculative industrial warehouse and commercial office projects both locally in the Chicago area and nationally. During his seven years with McShane he completed 2+ million square feet of industrial buildings.

Jack is a member of the Urban Land Institute.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Marquette University and a master degree in construction engineering and management from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Dan Fogarty joined Stotan Industrial as Chief Investment Officer-Principal in January 2022. He is responsible for identifying, pursuing and directing new build-to-suit and speculative development opportunities across the U.S.

In this capacity, Dan maintains a strong network with national and local brokerage firms and is responsible for directing all relationships with stakeholders involved in each project. A 25-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, he has extensive experience in acquisitions, leasing, asset management and ground-up development.

Prior to joining Stotan Industrial, Dan was Executive Vice President of Investment & Development at Becknell Industrial.  During his six plus years at Becknell, he orchestrated the development of more than 1600 acres across 11 states resulting in 57 buildings totaling 18+ million square feet and with a total investment value of $1.8 billion.  Notable projects completed include: Old Augusta Commerce Center in Savannah, GA; Air Commerce Park in Orlando, FL; North Las Vegas Business Parkin Las Vegas, NV; and Madison Business Center in Tampa, FL.

Before joining Becknell Industrial, Dan served for eight years as Vice President and Market Officer at Conor Commercial Real Estate in Rosemont, IL where he was charged with the management of all existing industrial and office projects within the Midwest, as well as identifying new investment opportunities.

Prior to his tenure at Conor, he also worked as a Vice President at In Site Real Estate in Oak Brook, IL and Director of Leasing at First Industrial Realty Trust in Chicago, IL. Dan is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and received his MBA from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. He is an associate-member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR),National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and on the Membership Committee of the Industrial Asset Management Council.

Bobby Patterson joined Stotan Industrial in July of 2021 and currently holds a position of Vice President - Market Officer focusing on sourcing more opportunities in the Texas market.

Bobby was one of the first employees to join Stotan. He started as an Associate, but soon got promoted to Development Manager.

Prior to joining Stotan, he was an Associate at Colliers International where he provided real estate advisory work for occupiers based both in Chicago and nationally. Prior to his work advising clients of the firm, Bobby supported Colliers’ Chicago office both as a Financial Analyst and a Research analyst. Bobby is a member of the Urban Land Institute and a NAIOP Developing Leader. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics & Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Michaela joined Stotan in February of 2022.She manages the firm’s day-to-day operations, including cash flow monitoring, bank account administration, construction draw processing, and corporate reporting for both the firm and its project entities. She leads investor relations by drafting communications, coordinating capital raises, and managing distributions, ensuring timely and accurate engagement with investors. In addition, she directs the company’s marketing and branding initiatives, overseeing digital strategy, public relations, and rebranding projects.

Michaela is MBA Candidate at Lewis University with micro-credentials in Finance & Digital Marketing. & Database Systems. She holds Bachelor's Degree in General Business Administration from Northeastern Illinois University.

Michaela is fluent in English, Czech and Slovak.
